Passover
An instance of Passover is a JewishHoliday that lasts for seven nights, or eight nights among Conservative and Orthodox Jews in the Diaspora. Technically, Passover is the first night of (or, immediately precedes) the Festival of Unlevened Bread. Passover commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, as recounted in the Book of Exodus. In the Jewish (Hebrew) calendar, Passover begins at sunset on 14 Nisan.
