The JamamadiLanguage is an AruanLanguage of Brazil. SIL code: JAA. ISO 639-2: sai. Population: 195 (1994 SIL) including 12 Mamoria. Region: Amazonas, scattered over 200,000 square miles. Alternate names: YAMAMADI, KANAMANTI, CANAMANTI. Dialects: BOM FUTURO, JURUA, PAUINI, MAMORIA (MAMORI), CUCHUDUA (MAIMA), TUKURINA. Comments: Other groups are called 'Jamamadi' which are closer to Culina or Deni. Tukurina may be a separate language. Dialects or related languages: Araua, Pama, Sewacu, Sipo, Yuberi. People want a school. OSV. Literacy rate in first language: 60% to 100%. Literacy rate in second language: 75% to 100%. Christian, traditional religion.
