Sigma KEE - Gasket

Gasket

A Device that is designed to allow two imperfect surfaces to mate cleanly, without gaps, and therefore prevent leakage of any Liquids.

Parents	Device	A Device is an Artifact whose purpose is to serve as an instrument in a specific subclass of Process.
Children	ORing	A Gasket that has an O-shaped cross section. It is often made of Rubber or a synthetic rubber which is actually Plastic.
	PistonRing	A Piston typically has several such rings to seal the piston against the EngineCylinder while allowing it to move, and yet contain Combustion and the Oil that is used for Lubricating the involved surfaces.
