A picture (graphic) stored in a particular coding scheme and stored as a file. Note that this can include vector as well as raster images. Raster images will entail a particular number of horizontal and vertical pixels. Vector images will not entail a particular size or resolution.
Relationships      
Parents computer file A collection of bytes stored as an individual entity. All data on disk is stored as a file with an assigned file name that is unique within the folder (directory) it resides in.
  digital data This term refers to any data that is recorded, displayed, or stored as a string of BinaryNumbers.
Children audio visual fileAn instance of AudioVisualFile is a ComputerFile that can contain information intended to be rendered as sounds for visual images.
 digital signatureAn instance of DigitalSignature is an ImageFile that encodes an Image (picture) of a person's signature (hand-written legal name).
