The YariLanguage is a language of unknown classification from Colombia. SIL code: YRI. ISO 639-2: sai. Population: No estimate available. Region: Yari River, Caqueta region, above El Capitan waterfalls near the Yari River. About 50 years ago 140 of them migrated to the Apaporis River, and settled on the upper Vaupes River near Puerto Nare. Comments: Possibly a dialect of Carijona (Carib), a Western Tucanoan language, or Huitoto. They were given the name 'Yari' by outsiders because of their location on the Yari River.
