The HaislaLanguage is a NorthernWakashanLanguage of Canada. SIL code: HAS. ISO 639-2: wak. Population: 25 fluent speakers, fewer than 200 speakers (1991 M. Dale Kinkade), out of 1,000 population (1977 SIL). Region: Inlet on central British Columbia coast. Dialects: KITIMAT (KITAMAT). Comments: Related to Heiltsuk and Kwakiutl. Bilingualism in English.
