Alternate names: BALUCHI, BALUCI, BALOCI. Comments: One of the major languages in Pakistan. Distinct from Western Balochi and Southern Balochi. Balochi has a small body of literature. Literacy rate in first language: Below 1%. Literacy rate in second language: 5% to 15%. Urdu script used. Radio programs. Sunni Muslim. Bible portions 1815-1906. Also spoken in: India.
