The MatagalpaLanguage is a MisumalpanLanguage of Nicaragua. SIL code: MTN. ISO 639-2: cai. Population: No speakers out of an ethnic group of 18,000 to 20,000 (1981 MARC). Region: The ethnic group is in the Central highlands, Matagalpa and Jinotega departments, and in Honduras, El Paraiso Department. Alternate names: PANTASMAS. Comments: They now speak Spanish.
