The JudeoGeorgianLanguage is a GeorgianGroupLanguage of Israel. SIL code: JGE. ISO 639-2: cau. Population: 40,000 to 50,000 in Israel (1995 H. Mutzafi). Population total both countries: 60,000 to 70,000. Region: Some have gone elsewhere in the former USSR and to other countries. Comments: Oriental and Ashkenazic Jews in Georgia live separately. Judeo-Georgian speakers live separately from non-Jewish Georgian speakers. May not be a separate language from Georgian, but a dialect using various Hebrew loan words. Jewish.
