OffshoreShipRegister is the class of ShipRegisters maintained by a colony, territory, or possession (OffshoreArea) of a nation. Typically such a register has more lenient maritime regulations with respect to taxation and crewing of ships than does the national register associated with the country of which the offshore area is a dependency.
