Any instance of Expressing that is also an instance of LinguisticCommunication, e.g. thanking someone, expressing condolence, expressing disapproval with an utterance rather than a Gesture, etc.
Relationships      
Parents Expressing Instances of this Class express a state of the agent.For example, Jane thanked Barbara for the present she had given her. The thanking in this case expresses the gratitude of Jane towards Barbara. Note that Expressing, unlike the other speech act types, is not a subclass of LinguisticCommunication.This is because emotions, for example, can be expressed without language, e.g. by smiling.

Children ThankingAny ExpressingInLanguage of appreciation to a person for something that the person did in the past.
