Region: Lima Department, Yauyos Province, Tupe village (Jaqaru) and Cachuy village (Cauqui). Alternate names: HAQEARU, HAQARU, HAQ'ARU, ARU. Dialects: CAUQUI (KAWKI, CACHUY). Comments: Jaqaru has 73% lexical similarity with Aymara, Kawki 79% with Aymara. Most or all use Spanish as second language. There may still be a few monolinguals, all women.
