Alternate names: NYMYLAN. Dialects: CAVCUVENSKIJ (CHAVCHUVEN), APOKINSKIJ (APUKIN), KAMENSKIJ (KAMEN), XATYRSKIJ, PAREN, ITKAN, PALAN, GIN. Comments: Chavchuven, Palan, and Kamen are apparently not inherently intelligible. Bilingualism in Russian. A few children speak Koryak. Taught in school.
