The QuapawLanguage is a DhegihaLanguage of the UnitedStates. SIL code: QUA. ISO 639-2: sio. Population: 34 speakers (1990 census) out of 2,000 population (1986 SIL). Region: Northeastern corner of Oklahoma. Alternate names: ARKANSAS, ALKANSEA, CAPA, OGAXPA. Comments: Closely related to Kansa, Omaha, Osage, and Ponca, all called 'Dhegiha.' Bilingualism in English.
